Mannequin is speachless

A New York driver was pulled over for driving in a car pool lane with a dummy for a passenger.  Her excuse to the officer was that “everybody does it”.  What always amazes me when I read these stories is the lengths that some people will go through to save some extra time on the road.  The police stated they stop about 2 people each year for this type of conduct.

Welcome to NY Driving Law

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Welcome to my first post on New York Driving Law!  The purpose of this “blog” will be to help inform the reader of the substance and procedures concerning the legal aspects of driving on the roads of New York.

I maintain a general practice law office in downtown Rochester, New York.  See my website www.shrameklaw.com for more information.  Lately, I have been receiving a large number of calls from clients concerning legal issues from operating automobiles in NY.  Many of these issues are common problems that have simple solutions.  Of course, there are some clients with more serious problems.

I will be writing in the future on many of these issues and the solutions available to drivers under New York law.

Thank you for reading!
